We want to fire up your imagination with some ideas of how you can enjoy River Cottage HQ in your own private space. 
Why not hire our Kitchen Garden one summers evening and dine out under the stars. Whilst you sip on cold stinger beers, our highly skilled chefs will spit roast or barbeque your favourite meat or fish to perfection. You can choose from a lamb, pig or even beef if there are enough of you. To accompany your rather special dinner al fresco will be fresh breads made by Dan, seasonal delicious desserts by Nonie and salads hand picked from the garden where you dine.
We will help you sort out local accommodation and you can make a weekend of it. These are just foods for thought…let us know if you have a better idea of how you want to enjoy your own private party at Hugh’s River Cottage HQ.

The Farmhouse
The living room, in our recently restored traditional Devon farmhouse,
is a wonderful place to celebrate a special event and spend some time
catching up with a group of friends. Here you can relax in front of the
fire in the spacious living room as our chefs prepare a sumptuous seasonal
meal for you.

River Cottage private courses
We can provide private versions of any of our regular courses (depending on the season) from learning about seasonal food or butchery - to more hands-on activities such as venturing out on the River Cottage boat to catch your own fish, or digging for clay with which to build your own wood-fired baking oven.
