It’s always difficult to know what exactly is the ideal gift for father’s day and amongst the suggestions we have made we all agree that generally a box full of the finest alcohol delivered to the door has got to be way up there!
We’ve put together a small selection from our Beer, Wine and Cider club to give Dad a taste of our fantastic range.

Sherborne Brut
Sparkling wine is a new addition to the Sherborne Castle range and we think they've done exceptionally well to produce a Dorset bubbly fit to rival champagne.
Pennard Plum Fruit Wine
A local variety of cherry plums gives this wine a rich and spicy balance. A great party wine!
Kingston Black Apple Aperitif
The outstanding vintage qualities of the rare Kingston Black apple, have for generations, made it in a legend in the orchards of the West Country. We believe that the subtle flavours of this unique blend of apples, spirit and tradition makes it a superb aperitif. Kingston Black can also be served ice cold as a dessert wine.

A West Country Classic, well balanced light copper coloured bitter using local malt and English whole hops

A bright Golden Coloured best bitter. Smooth and malty with a background of honey flavour offering refreshing and citrus finish
2 bottles of our very own Stinger Beer
Hugh describes Stinger as “slightly spicy with a light bitterness and a subtle tingle that comes from the nettles. Equally good with summer barbecues and winter roasts, or while sitting on a hay bale, watching the sun go down....”

Somerset Cider Brandy
A treasure from Somerset is cider brandy, revived in 1987 at Kingsbury Episcopi, and now with an international reputation of high quality.
The orchards at Burrow Hill are traditionally managed, with grazing sheep, and produce Harry Masters Jersey, Stoke Red, Kingston Black and Brown Snout apples which go into the famous cider brandy range.
Somerset Cider Brandy is an apple brandy that is compared favourably to French Calvados.

Sherborne Castle Special Reserve
The tradition of wine making on the Sherborne Castle Estate started in the middle ages when Bishop Roger planted the first vines. In 1982 the tradition was revived by Mr John Wingfield Digby, the present owner who has planted seven grape varieties on the south-facing slopes of loam, limestone and clay.
