If you are interested in getting closer to the source of your food - maybe even growing or raising some of it yourself - then come and spend the day at River Cottage HQ.

 

Our Sunday events at Park Farm give you the chance to meet our team and find out more about what we do, offering insights into the River Cottage approach to smallholding. You'll learn how we grow and rear our own food using environmentally sound methods, and, of course, taste plenty of it for yourself.

 

We begin with a cookery demonstration of the preparation, cooking and serving of a River Cottage roast dinner, using our own fresh, seasonal produce. We will sit down to your roast lunch at 12.45.

 

To walk off your delicious lunch, we will then take you on tours around our gardens and livestock, explaining the organic methods we use in raising them (please bring your wellies!).

 

Throughout the day there will be plenty of opportunity for you to chat to members of the River Cottage team, including our stockman Richard, gardeners and, of course, our chefs. You will have time to ask questions and, we hope, go away inspired, informed and with plenty of food for thought.

Seasonality: This event runs from April - October

Location: This event is held at River Cottage H.Q on the Dorset/Devon borders. Full address details of H.Q. will be provided once you have booked.

Wine/drink: We are a licensed venue. We also have a Bring Your Own policy and we do not charge corkage. We have a wide selection of the finest organic wines. We will be serving organic cordial and iced water from our own well.

Accommodation: If you need local accommodation, click here for a list of hotels and bed & breakfasts, recommended to us by our customers. We do not have camping facilities but for information on local campsites and self catering accommodation, call the Lyme Regis Tourist Information Office on 01297 442 138. They will be very happy to help.

Age: The minimum age on this event is 5yrs of age, although we cannot offer you a discounted rate for children. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. We put these guidelines for the safety, comfort and enjoyment of all our guests.

Time: 11.30am to c4.00pm.

We operate a E-ticket system. Once you book you will receive 2 emails, one confirming your payment and the second with all the details of the day including a map, directions, address and details and advice for the day.
