Competition: Your recipe, our menu

There's a place on our Easter menu, and it’s got your name on it.

River Cottage want you to produce your very own delicious and seasonal recipe and the best, selected by our head chefs Tim and Tom, will be added to our menu at both our Axminster and Bath Canteens over the Easter weekend.

River Cottage Canteen in BathWe’ll also throw in a £50 River Cottage voucher and a framed menu card from the weekend, signed by Hugh himself for good measure. How eggciting!

It's simple to enter. Upload your creations into the recipes' section of the River Cottage community, where you'll also be able to check out your competition.

Sign-up for free if you're not a member of the River Cottage community (it only takes a couple of minutes) and get stuck into the busy River Cottage forums, or blog your story, ask a question or simply browse and rate the recipes by other members of the community.

We select the very best local and seasonal provisions at the River Cottage Canteens, including fruit and vegetables, meat and bread, pickles and preserves as well as wine and beer.

Almost all of the produce has been sourced locally by Hugh and his team, from some of the finest South West producers, who regularly attend our weekly tastings.

The Canteens showcase the very best of what the South West has to offer and what is in season, with menus changing daily. Your recipe needs to be in-keeping with the River Cottage ethos if it's going to make our Easter menu.

You could cast an eye over the River Cottage Seasonality Table to see what's good now. Or have a flick through the River Cottage Year book for a few ideas. Remember it must be seasonal; it must be fresh but most importantly, it must be very, very yummy.

So are you up to the challenge? Tim, the Axminster head chef and Tom, his opposite number in Bath, will choose the recipe that gets their juices well and truly flowing.

The closing date for entries is Friday 19 March. Good luck!
