Members of River Cottage can add their own comments to our blogs by clicking the '+ add comment' link. Comments appear immediately, in strict date order.

Comments are a good chance to discuss and question points arising from a blog, but for more general questions and comments, please visit our forum.

Please feel free to post whatever relevant comments you see fit, subject to the following guidelines:

Do not post anything defamatory or offensive
Do not use the blog comments to advertise commercial ventures
Do not post contact or personal details of third parties without their express permission
Keep your comments as concise as possible
Comments on technical issues should not be posted on blogs, but rather directed via email to webteam@rivercottage.net
Do not post urgent corrections or updates here - please instead email webteam@rivercottage.net with the details
Other readers can report a posting as inappropriate, in which case the affected posting will be withdrawn immediately, pending investigation by webteam
We reserve the right to edit or remove postings at our sole discretion, without notice

Copyright on comments belongs to River Cottage, and we reserve the right to use the information contained. We may, for example, incorporate information from a comment on a site page into our stored site information so that it is permanently available.

Inappropriate comments

You can report inappropriate postings by others, which will be removed immediately pending investigation by webteam. Postings may be considered inappropriate if they contain:

Offensive language
Personal attacks
Deliberately misleading information
Advertisements for commercial ventures

Comments reported as inappropriate will be reviewed as soon as possible; if we agree that the comment is inappropriate it will be removed permanently, otherwise it will be reinstated.
