WELCOME TO GUARDIAN READERS!


We at River Cottage would like to wish all Guardian readers a very happy Christmas and offer you the chance to order a limited edition Christmas Hamper including a diary signed by Hugh.


Our River Cottage Goosey Gander hamper is simply Christmas in a box. The centrepiece is a locally sourced organic goose and has been specially prepared in line with three of Hugh’s favourite recipes to make sure you get the most from your bird over the festive days. And goose fat for the next six months!

To compliment the goose we have spoken to some of the brilliant local producers we work with throughout the year and packed our hamper full of the most delicious accompaniments. Our selection includes Julian Temperley’s 5 year old Somerset Cider Brandy, a Georgie Porgie traditional Christmas pudding, Sherborne Brut bubbly, Dorset Blue Vinney cheese, artisan Chococo chocolates, Teonis shortbreads… And as an additional treat we have popped in a copy of our River Cottage 2009 - your seasonal guide to the year with a week-to-view diary, full of handy tips, information, recipes, news from the River Cottage team and signed by Hugh.
