It was an evening that I do not think I will ever forget, as I'm sure I speak for 17 other people here. Most of us are used to dining in well known London restaurants, I would say London eat your heart out, go to River Cottage.
I would also like you to tell Hugh, that all his staff are an absolute credit to him, in particular Lisa and Pete, who were very professional and friendly and looked after us as if they had known us for years. We will definately be back one day, maybe i will invite even more people and fill the barn instead.”

The food was outstanding, both lunch and dinner. The atmosphere you have created there is just wonderful. We learnt an awful lot about butchery, and I also now have the inspiration to turn over some of my country cottage garden to vegetables.
