River Cottage Canteen Bath
We have teamed up with our friends at Komedia to offer a fantastic city centre River Cottage Canteen in the stunning Beau Nash building, Bath.
The Canteen showcases the very best of what the South West has to offer and what is in season - therefore we are constantly changing our menus. We start the day with delights such as Cornish Kippers on sourdough toast with lemon and parsley butter or the famous River Cottage Farmhouse Breakfast served with fresh Rain Forest Alliance coffee. For lunch you could try our salad of smoked organic rump steak with roasted Jerusalem artichokes and goats cheese. If that isn't enough to satisfy you we also serve a stunning range of wickedly delicious cakes and cream teas throughout the afternoon.

At the River Cottage Canteen Bath, we bake our own breads, savouries, cakes and treats for sale in the Canteen throughout the day. We now have an in-house bakery counter at the front of the Canteen. Most mornings you will see our resident baker, working the dough and knocking out cakes, scones and other goodies.
Open 9am - 3pm Wednesday to Saturday, some of our home baked delights will be available to take away from the bakery counter, as well as being on sale in the Canteen.

River Cottage and the Environment At River Cottage, we’re trying to do our bit for the environment. It isn’t always easy and there’s always room for improvement. Below are some of the commitments we are making.
All our fresh meat and poultry is organically reared and sourced within 55 miles of Bath (50 would be nice, but one of our favourite organic farms is 52 miles away in Dorset!) Our fruit and vegetables are locally sourced and mostly organic. Our imported “exotics” – citrus fruits, bananas, avocados etc are either organic, or Fair Trade, or both. All our sea fish is sourced from fish landed by day boats in the West Country. We do not sell any dredged or beam-trawled fish or shellfish. Our dry goods, such as flours, sugars, grains, pulses, chocolate, coffee and spices (except for a couple of tricky ones, like nutmeg and smoked paprika) are either organic, or Fair Trade, or both. All our diary produce, with the exception of some fine locally made cheeses, is organic. Our non-food waste is being recycled with the help of Green Acre here in Bath. We are currently trialling a food waste digester at River Cottage HQ. If it’s a success we plan to install one here at the canteen. Our furniture is either recycled, or made locally from wood certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council. We have used environmentally friendly solvent free paint for all new paint work. River Cottage and Komedia are using a green electricity supplier.
