Written by Emma Cooper and Foreward by our very own head garener, Mark Diacono.

Emma likes growing things that are edible. Her kitchen garden is only 5 years old, and a work in progress. Lots of things are grow in containers, but there are also 3 raised beds and some minarette fruit trees planted directly into the (heavy clay) soil. There's also a half finished Grow Dome (a self-heating greenhouse) and two chickens - Hen Solo and Princess Layer - who helpfully ignore weeds and try and eat the crops. But they do like snails, so they're forgiven. Usually.
