Winter’s on the way, and Hugh and the River Cottage team are battoning down the hatches with gutsy winter dishes to pleasure your palate and warm your cockles. The evening will begin around 6pm with drinks and canapes round the fire in the yurt, then Hugh will cook for you in the main barn,  demonstrating some favourites from his current  winter repertoire. During the demonstration he will be able to answer your questions about seasonal growing and cooking, and the River Cottage food philosophy.

After a short break and a chance to meet and chat with Hugh, from around 8pm the
River Cottage team will serve you a four-course dinner featuring the dishes you have just seen demonstrated. While you’re tucking in, Hugh will be able to sign any books you’ve brought with you or purchased from us on the night. He usually come back into the barn to say good night around 9.00 pm.

The best local and organic wines, ciders and beers will be on sale to accompany your dinner, and coffee and petit fours will be served to end the evening.
