A River Cottage and Three Hungry Boys XI narrowly lost by three wickets to Fleet Cricket Club in a charity match held in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support (July 3).
The event was the brainchild of Thom Hunt, one of the Three Hungry Boys, who was himself diagnosed with colon cancer shortly after their foraging challenge was aired on Channel 4.
The 28-year-old underwent six months of successful chemotherapy and as a result, and wanted to say a 'thank you' for the invaluable help and support he received during that time.
Over £5,000 was raised in sponsorship alone, while the proceeds of the day's auction and raffle at least doubled the total in excess of £10,000.
A large crowd turned out in force on a perfect afternoon in Hampshire to watch the match, contested over 35 overs.

The cameras were on hand to capture the event, with Hugh and his Head Chefs Tim Maddams and Gill Meller creating the tea at the break.
Action from the day will be shown in the forthcoming series of River Cottage, expected in October time.
The River Cottage and Hungry Boys XI posted a score of 230 from their 35 overs, with Thom's brother Andy and fellow Hungry Boy Tim Cresswell top-scoring with 58 and 53 respectively, while Hugh added a respectable knock of 34.
But Fleet, who ply their trade in Division One of the Morrant Thames Valley League, chased down the total with three wickets to spare to come out on top on the day.
