And so the Three Kings of River Cottage rode back into the West (Country), through the dusk of the night, down the River Cottage hill bearing gifts for all!
We've had a fantastic year in 2011; the Fish Fight, the summer of veg and the opening in Plymouth - but we couldn't have done it without your amazing support.
So Hugh and his head chefs Tim and Gill (AKA the Three Kings of River Cottage) come bearing gifts!
As a thank you the trio have delivered three early Christmas gifts: a trio of exclusive and brand new veggie recipes - not shown in our recent TV series.
"Did you enjoy watching River Cottage Veg?" asks Hugh.
"Dare we ask, have you bought the book yet?
"It’s currently riding high in the Amazon charts with an astonishing 170 five star reviews.
"Here's three more veg recipes from the book which weren't included in the TV series - prepared exclusively for you by myself and Gill.
"I hope you enjoy them this Christmas!"
Hugh's roast Brussels sprouts and shallots
This is a dish to convert sprout shirkers - it's a delicious, easy way to serve sprouts, and one that's likely to encourage you to dish them up more often. For a change, try a sprinkling of cumin or caraway seeds instead of thyme.

Hugh's lazy pasta
If you've got a raging hunger this Christmas - but not much time on your hands - pasta is the go-to ingredient. Here Hugh creates his easy peasy, easy cheesy macaroni peas, then moves onto to pasta dish number two - his intensive mushroomy risoniotto.

Gill's tourte de blettes
Based on a traditional nicoise recipe, this sweet pie makes a lovely dessert, and it's a great way to use Swiss Chard. You only need the leaves; use the stems for another dish, such as a gratin of stalks.
