Hat pattern

Hat pattern as promised!

Cast on picot edging using suitable needle (3.5mm for dk wool)

Cast on 5 st, cast off 2, slip the st on RH needle onto left, and repeat until 96 stitches on needle. Cast on 1 more. 97 st.

Rib row 1 - P2, K3 to end,(19 times) p2

Rib row 2 - k3, p3 as above K2

Rib row 3 - P2, slip one, K2, pass slipped stitch over (PSSO) to end P2

Rib row 4 - K2, P1 YO, P1 to end K2

Work these four rows six times more.

Inc row- K1, M1, (K3 M1) 31 Times, K1,M1,K1,M1,K1. (131 ST)

Change to 4mm needles and garter stitch two rows

Then stocking stitch 24 rows.

Dec row-K8, K2 Tog, 13 times, K1 (118 ST)

work 7 rows st st

K7,K2 Tog 13 times K1 (105 st)

work 3 rows

K6, K2 TOG 13 times k1(92 st)

work 3 rows

K5 k2 tog 13 times k1 (79 st)

work 3 rows

K4, K2 TOG 13 TIMES K1 (66 St)

purl 1 row

K3 K2tog 13 times k1 (53 st)

purl 1 row

K2, K2 TOG 13 K1 (40 st)

purl 1 row

K1 K2 tog 13 times k1 27 st)

P1 P2 tog 13 times 14 stitches.

break yarn, thread through remaining stitches and pull, sew up seam.

Lol, me too Potty. As Mark says, the dog will get dirty again (and probably thank you for forgetting to bathe it!!)

This is more the true colour

Started it at 1pm on the dot, finished it at 5.58pm; spent an enjoyable afternoon pottering around Youtube watching films on the Amish, permaculture, prepping and eco houses.
