Jake - We've discussed this here and decided that this will be kept and updated (as you requested). All three will be updated every Friday and chosen by us here at RC! What we choose will be final. Sorry it hasn't been done for so long but you can take it from me that this will change from this Friday onwards!

b) search function
Jake - Yes, this is confusing. We're looking at sorting this out so it's more intuitive. Bear with me on this one but I promise it will be sorted one way or another. At the moment it's not good enough.
c) polls
Jake - I take your point about getting polls for the forums. We're discussing this with our development team to see if it's possible.
d) Internet explorer - garbled answers in questions section
Jake - I can't replicate this. Please send me a screenshot if anyone is experiencing this and I'll fix it. I also need to know which version of Internet Explorer you're using.
OaklandsPigs - IE9, will send you a screenshot
e) Change wording when moderator changes post
Could we add changing the wording when a moderator has deleted post, at the moment it says "This post has been deleted by its author", to "this post has been deleted by a moderator"
Anyone any more?

While we are suggesting improvements. A feature I would really like to see on this forum is the option to mark things as 'read'. At present if you go into a forum, you read the threads of interest and go out again. But it remains registering as having 'new posts'.
Would it be possible to have a button at the top saying 'mark as read' which would allow you to de-activate that 'new posts' higlighter?
When the forum is active it is easy to miss new posts on the one thread of interest, due to the clutter of 'new post' signs on the threads of no interest.

On my wish list would be a simple sticky on how to upload a pic, with optimum size, and preferably with the pic saved in a small file size format so that it does not take forever to download a thread with a pic, and then for the computer to crash.... Ta everso!
Oh, and while I am here is it possible to change the update bit - if I open the first page of updates, the update total drops by a whole page of updates. We used to have a tickbox for each update so we could delete one at a time, but now all I seem to be able to do is delete the lot. Just a small thing....
Weren't we paying enough attention to the last one? As mentioned on the other thread, it would be more meaningful if it were possible to lock it so it was one-person - one-vote. But otherwise, fine. Presumably there is a set-up page that allows you to design one for yourself?

With regards to the updates function you suggest, the features we have at the moment do almost what you require. When you post in a thread you follow it through the 'updates' menu at the top. If you continually 'delete all notifications' then you can keep an eye on all the threads you like. We won't be able to improve this in the shortterm I'm afraid.
HarmonyHerd - yes good idea to have instructions on how to upload a picture. I have already written one somewhere (a while back), I'll try and write a more comprehensive one and keep it somewhere on the site. Best option is to have a play with it yourself until you get the hang of it as a lot of people have already mastered it.

Hi Guys,
Just to let you know that we've now added the facility to embed polls. That explains the mysterious forum thread.
To post a poll it's easiest to use the Polldaddy site: www.polldaddy.com
Register and set up a poll (explanation on their website) then copy the Share Code which looks like this:
The next step is to click the < > symbol on your reply box and paste in the code. Then post your reply and you're done!
Hope you like this new feature.
Best,
JAKE
Seems to work so far. Well done Jake!
If anyone is experiencing any problems or errors then do let myself or one of the mods know.
You can always send a personal message to the Webteam anytime!
We will, thanks Jake - any chance you can provide some feedback on my proposed improvement above?
