I was up at Dowth, part of the Newgrange complex, yesterday, and came across this lovely tree in the graveyard. (That's the tomb at Dowth in the left background). Just thought I'd start a thread on gorgeous trees if anyone would like to add some!
I'm not sure these links will work and they are not for the easily offended. Tree porn on Google throws up some interesting results, some like Woifeys and some like Tims

I smile a lot because I actually have no idea what's happening.
Would be a question of picking out logs that won't let others move so it looks as if autumn has come. Not really meant as a woodpile though is it, more a work of art. Looks really nice. The sort of sculpture you would like to see in a wood rather than all the silly things they sometimes put there.
Will try to post some pictures of some of our trees. I really must have a go at this picture posting lark, as I have some bits to put on the finished projects thread too.

Thats why they tell you not to go into the woods at night
Some people have way too much time on their hands .... and an unhealthy obsession or two.
Naughty dirty TB...lol like it

And some just have too much time on their hands........
But as trees go, this is just too good looking to burn..... possibly.......
Now that is a good way to spend your time. As you say Davecook - it would be hard to bring yourself to burn that little lot!

I love that picture Dave, fantastic sculpture, the axe and the stump are a bit sad. Any tree over my height is beautiful to me!
