PMd Dmcp and she asked me to say Hi to you all. She still has the foster children, and just for once she is worn out at the end of the day and hasn't the energy to post.
wondered where she had got to - and glad to know she is OK. I rather suspected the lastest lot of foster kids might be keeping her busier than usual. Hope she enjoyed her break at least ...
Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not. (Ralph Waldo Emerson)
Take my hat off to DMCP - although I have no experience of fostering, my impressions are that it is a very, very worthwhile thing for anyone to undertake, and secondly that it must be exhausting in every way imagineable.
I like to do my bit for global warming, and so I make sure I use my 400 bhp V8 monster EVERY day.....
Well the screaming, hair pulling, and hiding in the bathroom has ended.
(and that was just me!)
Back to some degree of normality for a while, the 3 have gone for a few weeks, and I'm back to my own children and the usual borrowed one. Even he sighed with relief when they had gone, and told me 'they kept annoying and destructing him' (that should be distract , I think! but I liked the image)
Thanks to everyone who pm'd me...the only thing I've checked is my emails, as work is hectic also, and it was great to hear from you.
As an update, my weekend in London was good, a little rushed, saw a few exhibitions, met a cousin, but feel now like it never really happened!
Received some lovely presents for my b'day which I haven't had time to really look at - off to spend some gardening vouchers this week- you've no idea how weird it is to have vouchers and not spend them! Re-celebrating this week, as everyone was so tired we forgot to have cake, as my eldest son pointed out a few days after the event, and dinner cooking has been limited to what everyone eats, without garnishes or drooling over recipe books before hand.
So- off to clean up, funny how quickly you forget where little kids can leave food....
So glad you're back in one piece Di, well done for coping with the chaos, like you say you probably haven't had chance to think about your wkend away. Glad you're back though.
Make yourself at home!!! Clean my kitchen.
A balanced diet is a piece of cake! In each hand.
