I recently baked Hugh's Honey And Peanut Butter Energy Bar and it tasted great.
However, I have a friend who is Lactose intolerant and was wondering if the bar can be made using a neutral oil such as Grapeseed.
Is that doable, if so what quantity and what oil would you recommend?
This is my first post so apologies if it is not in the correct place.
I see River Cottage is hosting an Energy Share event. It's great to see you support community power generation, well done!
. I also see one of the big enery providers hosts the web site? Is this just a big energy provider looking for some good PR? What have they done to support renewable energy power generation, which is not already backed by public money? I hope they really mean to help scale up decentalised commuinty power generation and shake up the energy market! Lets see more Good Energy and Ecotricity in the UK - why not invite them along to Energy Share?
. I see that 50kW+ PV Feed-in Tariff is up for review. 50kw is about the same as 20 homes fitting PV panels! How can anyone call that large scale! why is this up for review?
Commenting on DECC’s announcement of a review of feed-in tariffs for solar projects above 50kWp, Peter Madden, CEO of sustainability NGO Forum for the Future, said:
“This unexpected review threatens investor confidence in all small-scale renewable energy and may well jeopardise a range of community projects. The timing of all this couldn’t be worse as many communities, hospitals, town halls and farms have solar roof-mounted projects in the pipeline and innovative ways of financing projects locally were about to take off.
“By removing the certainty that the solar feed-in tariffs provided, government risks creating market uncertainty about feed-in tariffs more generally and slowing the uptake of low-carbon technologies. “
OVESCo and other community groups oppose the review of the Feed-in Tariff.

River Cottage is a partner in energyshare (www.energyshare.com ), an innovative idea that aims to fundamentally change the way people source, use and even generate their energy. Why is there nothing on the River Cottage website about this exciting new project?
