A Greeting Undesired

asked by aussiegreenfingers on

I don't exactly know how to word this, but after joining this website a couple of days ago and writing a small blog introducing ourselves, I now find that the blog of greeting has been withdrawn without a semblance of reason. We are both keen supporters of Hugh and all that he stands for, and are building self-sufficiency in our backyard, but it seems we are not exactly welcome. I never considered the possibility that our interest in self-sufficiency may be regarded as spam, but that may have just occured. Are we welcome here or not? I may need some convincing.

Hi Aussie, dont let it put you off, i have had things not placed on here before and its been due to an empty page lol. I am also trying to become self sufficient, i have a back yard (garden) but its all concrete, i do have an allotment when the council re open it up that is. Anyways welcome to the site and hope to speak to you again.

That just about sums it up. And it's not even that you are from the antipodes - they have been tolerating me for years (well, mostly ...)

Aussie, something went wrong with your first post; it actually was just a blank page when it came up on my screen.

All new members are welcome and I'm sorry if you feel that you have been made to feel otherwise. Now you are here, please join in and share what you are doing.

The forum section is a great place to find people with similar dreams and aspirations and to get good advice and tips.

Sorry for your false start and welcome to River Cottage

Mark.
