Decide if you will fry the bread or just use it as it is. If using it as it is, ignore the next step.

Lightly fry the bread for a minute or so on both sides with a little butter.

Lay your bread flat on a chopping/spreading board.

Spread butter on both slices.

In a separate dish, mix the lemon juice and sugar until a paste.

Add your honey to the paste, and stir again until gloopy and sweet.

Spread the sugar-honey-lemon paste onto one slice of bread.

Press the other, just buttery slice of bread onto the pastey one.

Cut however you prefer.

Eat as an irregular treat.
