Filled with practical growing advice and mouth watering recipes, this inspirational book will encourage you to share Mark's sense of culinary adventure - introducing you to the finest forgotten
flavours, fabulous lesser-known harvests, the tastiest varieties, and the exotic foreign fruit that our changing climate now allows us to grow for ourseleves.

"It's a hybrid of a book really, quite a bit of planty stuff - growing, varieties, harvesting etc, a drop of history and background and a good story here and there topped off with some eatery/cookery things. A good read as well as a mine of information. It is both a dipping into book and read cover to cover book." - Rowena

This fabulous book immediately took away all concerns I had that everything would be way above my skill level. Mark D explains everything clearly and in realistic terms for the UK climate. His book helped me decide what it was I wanted to grow/eat, and what I would need to do so. I am now growing things that my preconceptions meant I had never even thought of trying before. The recipes are a nice addition too. After reading this book myself, I can safely say that all the positive things I have heard about this book are true, it is great!
