Hugh has learnt to progress
Don't get caught up in the fuss about this not being as 'authentic' as the other three River Cottage series. Like everything else, Hugh has moved on and progressed - think of it like when Bob went electric or when Joni went jazz, the purists went into an almighty huff (and some of them still haven't managed to get over it). The same applies to this. Personally, I loved it. Hugh may have gone bigger in scale, but hasn't lost his personal touch and his very unique vision. He's doing things his way and shows that having more doesn't necessarily mean things get easier. Highly recommended. Chris G Wilkin, Manchester
