Online Mushroom Magic

River Cottage online courses have been designed specifically for online learners and for people unable to come to the courses we hold at River Cottage HQ.

The River Cottage Online Mushroom course will teach you the principles of foraging for mushrooms, identification and of course, cooking and eating your finds.

Led by John Wright, author of the River Cottage Mushroom Handbook and wild food guru, we start with the most important aspect of mushroom foraging, safety and how to avoid being poisoned.

We then establish a target set of species for you to acquaint yourself with, so you can search and find these and then move up to extend your knowledge.

There is an interactive mushroom identification tool to help and you'll be able to record your finds and (secret!) locations.

The course contains:
- Over 30 mins of Video - instruction, tips and recipes
- An interactive guide to Mushroom idenfication and field guide for 29 common mushrooms
- Over 20 River Cottage mushroom recipes

This course is suitable for anyone interested in increasing their mushroom knowledge and making the most of their collecting.

As this is course is online it is entirely interactive, allowing you to decide which bits of the course are appropriate to you and complete the course at your leisure. And, all of this can be accessed and enjoyed again and again...
