I made two big jars of pickled shallots. I included in both jars dried chillies, peppercorns shallots and spiced vinegar. Both the jars were sterilised using baby sterilising liquid. One jar is lovely and clear. The other, however, has soft 'bits' floating in it which makes the vinegar cloudy. Does anyone know what on earth has happened?
MY TEA TOWEL NIGHTMARE... Does anyone else have a problem with new tea towels? My old tea towels were past it so I bought some new ones which didn't dry the dishes properly; they just moved the water around. So I bought some more new ones of a different style and from somewhere else and they too won't dry the dishes. Do they get coated in plastic so they look good in the shop or something? Does anyone else have this problem and has found a solution?
