Pop up sometimes appearing

Why is it that sometimes, if I look at someones Blog be it a Member of the river cottage team or anyone else, I get a pop up window that says, Connecting to rivercottage.internetgeeks.co.uk. and askes for my user name and pass word. Does anyone know why this happens and if I just cancel this request the pictures that are on the Blog do not display, does anyone else get this and do you know what its for.

Very easy meal to make, and tastes great, quick to cook if you dont have time to spare, even quicker if you have any left over cooked pasta. This is one of my favorites meals as it is prepared by layering the cooked ingredients.
