About Me: I grew up in the country with all the animals and wildfoods one could imagine but have now found myself living in the city due to the family business, I may live in a industrial area but have still managed to fit in 3 dogs, goldfish, 3 chooks, 2 bantams and numerous birds....im always on the scrounge for backyard treasures from many peoples ignored & unloved fruiting trees. Preserves, chutneys, relishes nothing i havent mastered....apart from the humble pavalova! I also breed birds and do bird rescue work. I love learning the old ways to do things....give me fire, water and the middle of nowhere and id be a happy gal...
