Sourdough intro at Borough Market (9.30am-1.30pm)
Learn about the art of sourdough bread and harness the power of wild yeasts to raise your loaf.
On this half day, demo led course, River Cottage Master Baker Andy Tyrrell will inspire you to rise to the occasion, abandon ready-sliced loaves and discover the world of home-baked sourdough.
We’ll guide you through the journey of making sourdough; looking at choice of flour, creating and maintaining your starter in a simple way and will introduce you to the techniques to give you the confidence to become a master of your own bread.
At each event, you’ll be trying out the taste of sourdough in it’s various forms, so make sure you arrive hungry!
The course will take place in Borough Market’s Cookhouse venue, an open plan kitchen and dining space with a bird’s eye view of the season’s finest produce in the market below.
