Tonics and Teas at Borough Market (9.30am-1.30pm)
Learn how to use nature’s larder to boost your immune system and fight against the onslaught of the winter cold, with chef, author and food writer, Rachel de Thample.
Tonics and teas have long been hailed as remedies for all manner of ailments and illnesses, and for the amazing health benefits they can deliver. In this session you’ll learn to make drinks to fight colds, balance your gut flora, boost your immune system, and feel ready to take on the world.
The course will cover a mixture of tasting and learning how to make local & seasonally-inspired health-giving tipples, including Zen Tea, a seasonal fruit water kefir and an everyday health tonic of blackberry and sage.
The course will take place in Borough Market’s Cookhouse venue, an open plan kitchen and dining space with a bird’s eye view of the season’s finest produce in the market below.
