Garden Lunch

from £80.00

Join us for an inspirational Garden Lunch, where our farm to fork philosophy really comes to life.

Enjoy a welcome drink on arrival and take a guided tour of both our famous walled Kitchen Garden, and our productive Market Garden (as seen on River Cottage Reunited) with one of our fantastic garden team.

At River Cottage we believe growing your own veg has the power to change your life. On your tour, you’ll hear about the techniques our garden team use to maintain the organic growing spaces and see the beds from which some of your lunch will have been harvested . You’ll have the opportunity to ask our gardener’s questions as you wander the grounds and whilst they join you for lunch.

After you’ve explored the grounds and gardens, you’ll take your seats in our outdoor dining area, a stone’s throw form the outdoor kitchen where our chefs will be preparing your meal. Before your feast begins, our chef will explain what is being served, a little bit about where the food came from and how it has been prepared. Our chefs make the most of the season’s produce, harvesting directly from the abundant walled kitchen garden and plundering the spoils of the polytunnels to create the fresh three course menu. All you need to do is sit back, soak up the inspiration and enjoy!

We recommend dressing for the weather as the tour will be mainly outside. If it’s too windy or rainy to dine outside, we’ll set up the tables in one of our polytunnels instead.
