Leyli Joon & Co. Feast Over Fire

Following last years success, long table dinners return to our Festival and we are thrilled to welcome Leyli Joon & Co who will be cooking up sumptuous Persian inspired fare.

Take your seats outside amid the Festival at one of our long table banquets.

On Saturday evening we are delighted to welcome Leyli Homayoonfar, a chef of Persian-Welsh heritage. 

Leyli's love for cooking stems from childhood where food was central to her family's life, thanks to her Persian father and Welsh mother's encouragement to constantly try new and exotic dishes. Having worked her way up in award winning local restaurants in and around Cardiff building a repertoire for French and Spanish cuisine, she moved to London to work in Michelin starred restaurants before becoming Head Chef for Jamie Oliver. With the help from her brother and sisters, she started running Persian themed Supper Clubs in her spare time which lead to the launch of Leyli Joon & Co.

They will be reverting to traditional methods cooking the majority of the feast over fire. Join them and other guests at their table by the Fire Pit for a celebratory ‘Clifftop Spritz’ from Conker Gin followed by an incredible three course Persian inspired supper.

Leyli Joon & Co. cooked a fantastic feast for the River Cottage team last Christmas and we are all looking forward to you enjoying their skillful and generous food.


Aperitif: ‘Clifftop Spritz’ from Conker Gin

Starter: BBQ scorched mackerel, beetroot borani, dill, pickled cucumber & radish. Mirza ghasemi: Charred and smoked aubergine, garlic, tomatoes & saffron. Maneesh flat breads with zaatar

Main: Joojeh: Saffron marinated skewered chicken kabab with jewelled rice, barberries, pistachio + orange and Mast o khair

Pudding: Persian orange blossom pavlova, grilled grapefruit and sour cherry, hazelnut praline

A little bit of practical info...

The long table feasts will take place at the Fire Pit, if the weather is poor we will move them to the Garden Stage marquee.

Please arrive at the Fire Pit for your Clifftop Spritz at 6pm. The Feast will wrap up around 8.30pm giving you time to head over to the Meadow Stage to enjoy the live music.

As always we will do our best to accommodate all dietary requirements and there will be a vegetarian option available for each course. However, please be aware that during the Festival we cannot operate our usual dietary procedures.

Please note, you must have a festival ticket to gain entry to the Feast, unfortunately membership discount can not be applied to this event.

Further information...

The Feasts Over Fire will take place alfresco by the Fire Pit. In inclement weather they will take place in the Garden Stage marquee.

There will be a licensed bar available throughout the evening.

Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. We put these guidelines in place for the safety, comfort and enjoyment of all our guests.

There will be a vegetarian option available for each course. However, please be aware that during the Festival we cannot operate our usual dietary procedures so will not be able to cater for any other dietary requirements.
