New Year’s Eve

Round off the year and welcome the next, River Cottage-style, with an evening of great food, fizz and music in our beautifully restored barn.

They say you should start as you mean to go on, and what better way to kick off a new year than with a night of feasting, toasting and dancing against the idyllic backdrop of Park Farm? You’ll be treated to four courses of the finest seasonal produce from local growers and our own kitchen garden, lovingly prepared by the River Cottage chefs.

There will be homebrewed bubbly flowing, and music from our lively band to get the party started as we head towards midnight.

Your event

18.30 - 01:00

  • Arrive at River Cottage

    You’ll be met at the top of the hill and transported to River Cottage HQ by tractor and trailer.

  • Welcome and canapés

    We’ll greet you with a drink, canapés and the chance to explore your idyllic surroundings. Members of the team will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have about life here at River Cottage.

  • Chef’s introduction

    As you settle in for the evening, your head chef will introduce the menu and tell you more about our philosophy, the food’s provenance and how the dishes have been prepared.

  • The big countdown

    Five… four… three… two… one! You’ll see in the New Year with a glass of elderflower bubbly, and live music from our fantastic musicians.

  • A fond farewell

    At the end of the night, our tractor and trailer will whisk you back up the hill to your car or taxi.

Canapés

Roast beetroot and roast carrot hummus with flatbreads and dukka

Hot-smoked duck on potato scone with raw pear

Cider and leek rarebit

Seared Park Farm ruby red beef fillet, diver scallop, game chips and béarnaise sauce

First starter

Roast squash and garlic, fresh curds, air-dried ham and winter leaves

Second starter

Line-caught pollock, rye crumbs, raw celeriac and apple

Main course

Park Farm hogget loin and faggot, parsnip purée, braised onion, sauté kale and sprouts

Dessert

Vanilla yoghurt panna cotta, caramelised clementines, clementine sorbet and buttery biscuits

We are a licensed venue. We have a wide selection of the finest organic wines available to purchase.
