A special addition to our Christmas calendar, come and join us for a family event full of the spirit of the season.

Christmas at River Cottage HQ is the celebratory finale of a bountiful year of growing, harvesting, cooking and eating. So come and join us for a Festive Feast and see River Cottage in all its wintery daylight glory and enjoy three mouth-watering courses of seasonal delights.

You’ll be welcomed to the farm with a glass of something brewed, steeped or sparkly to warm yourself with in our cosy yurt or to take with you on a wander around the iconic River Cottage Kitchen Garden. Lunch will be served in our beautiful threshing barn decked with Christmassy creations and natural decorations, and introduced by your head chef. Sit back, relax and enjoy three-courses of flavoursome festive fare. We know the provenance of every ingredient we cook and our chefs will share some of these stories and guide you through our SLOW - seasonal, local, organic and wild - ethos and how this is reflected in the menu.

  • Arrive at River Cottage

    You’ll be met at the top of the hill and begin your River Cottage experience with a 10-15 minute walk through the wonderful pathways down to the farm, enabling you to really soak up the views of the valley.

  • Welcome

    Head to the barn and enjoy a festive aperitif to welcome you in from the cold.

  • Chef’s introduction

    Once seated in the barn, your chef will talk you through the menu and share more about our philosophy as well as the provenance and preparation of our festive dishes.

  • The main event

    You will be treated to a festive three course menu of fantastic local and seasonal produce. We regularly and happily cater for any dietary requirements so please let us know at your time of booking.

  • To finish

    Just time for coffee and petits fours (if you still have room), before heading home.

Warm, buttery cauliflower puree with cumin and chilli, crispy brassica leaves, dukkah and coriander yoghurt
