Raise a toast to the weekend with a laid-back evening feast in the barn at River Cottage.

Not your average dinner party, a Saturday Night Feast at River Cottage is a celebration of great food and excellent company, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Park Farm. Unwind, soak up the atmosphere and tuck into four delicious courses, fresh from the River Cottage kitchen.

You will be seated on one of two long trestle tables alongside your dining companions. There are no menus*, your chef will explain what is being served and a little bit about where the food came from and how it has been prepared. All you need to do is sit back soak up the atmosphere and enjoy.

Your event

18.30 - 23:00

  • Arrive at River Cottage

    You’ll be met at the top of the hill and transported to River Cottage HQ by tractor and trailer.

  • Welcome and canapés

    We’ll greet you in our cosy yurt with canapés and a seasonal cocktail, and you will have the chance to explore our idyllic surroundings.

  • Chef’s introduction

    As you settle in for the evening, your chef will introduce the menu and tell you more about our philosophy, the food’s provenance and how the dishes have been prepared.

  • The main event

    You’ll be treated to a four-course menu of fantastic local and seasonal produce, planned on the day to showcase the freshest and the best. You’ll also share a bottle of wine between two. We happily cater for any dietary requirements, which you’ll be asked to provide when booking.

  • Petits fours and coffee

    After dinner you’ll unwind with coffee and petits fours (if you still have room), before being driven back up the hill by our tractor and trailer.

Courgette, spring onion and carrot bhaji, Home dried tomatoes, basil oil, Exmoor blue cheese, Beetroot tartar, celery leaf, fresh horseradish Spinach pancake, homemade black pudding, oregano mayonnaise

First starter

Fresh pea soup, home blushed tomatoes, borage flowers, warm focaccia

Second starter

Hand dived seared scallops, sweet corn pancakes, chorizo, wild greens and basil oil

Main course

Slow roast shoulder and seared loin of organic lamb, crushed new potatoes, mixed garden vegetables, mint and rosemary jelly


Almond meringue, rum soaked strawberries, red berry fool
