Make hay while the sun shines, with a warm welcome at River Cottage.
River Cottage HQ is beautiful all year round but it is truly magical throughout the summer months. The farm is the perfect setting to bask in the warmth of the sun, relishing long lazy lunches in our courtyard or 17th century threshing barn, weather dependent.
Our chefs make the most of the season’s produce, harvesting directly from the abundant walled kitchen garden and plundering the spoils of the polytunnels. They create a daily three course menu that incorporates the most delicious dishes from the homegrown and local summer ingredients available.
This is an ideal event to share with your family and friends, from the stroll down the hill to a wander around HQ, exploring the farm and enjoying views of the stunning Axe Valley. Once you are seated lunch is introduced by your chef for the day before you eat, drink and relax, leaving with a happy summer memory to recall in the depths of winter.
We welcome children of all ages to our Summer Lunches at River Cottage, with reduced-price tickets for under-10s. Please purchase an adult ticket for children aged 10 and over. If you have a younger child who will be attending, but not dining with us, please let us know so that a highchair can be allocated.
Are you coming with a group of 10 or more? Did you know we offer private dining packages?
