Solar and Food Dyeing

Have a go at Solar and Acid Dyeing with experienced dyer and spinner Debbie Munro and take home your own unique yarn.

Find the Lace Knittery stall to sign up and have a go. Spaces will be limited so make sure you visit them early to avoid disappointment.

The classes offered each day will differ, see below for details. 

SATURDAY - SOLAR DYEING -

Dye yarn using plants, flowers and vegetable peelings. Fill a jar with yarn and dyestuffs and take home to leave on a sunny windowsill. Mother Nature does the rest.

Classes will be held at 11.00am, 12.30pm and 3.30pm. Places are priced at £8 per person which will include all ingredients and instruction.

SUNDAY - ACID DYEING WITH FOOD COLOURING -

Dye, dip dye, mix, speckle and generally have a riot dyeing yarn using food colouring and vinegar. Take home your finished yarn and bake in the oven to fix the colour.

Classes will be held at 12.30pm, 2.00pm and 3.30pm. Places are priced at £10 per person which will include all ingredients and instruction.
