Most takeaway packaging goes to incineration or landfill, but we wanted our Spring Food Fair to support Hugh’s War on Waste campaign by trying out an alternative. So all food at the three-day festival was served on compostable packaging by Edinburgh firm Vegware.

On Monday 4 April we held our second annual Garden Open Day at River Cottage HQ.
