Having beaten off competition from entrants across the region we are thrilled to announce that we have been named Medium Employer of the Year at the 2015 South-West final of the National Apprenticeship Awards.

The National Apprenticeship Awards, now in their twelfth year, celebrate the success of the country’s most exceptional apprentices and their employers. The awards challenge top apprenticeship employers across England to come forward and show how apprenticeships have made a real difference to their organisation and careers.

Terri Tipping, Education Manager at River Cottage, said: "Through the River Cottage Apprenticeship Scheme we teach and equip learners with the skills they need to excel. We believe that by providing job and learning opportunities for those starting out in the industry we can create a highly-skilled team within both River Cottage and local companies. We are absolutely delighted our input has been recognised through such a prestigious award."

Sue Husband, Director of the National Apprenticeship Service, said: “River Cottage has been recognised as winner of the South-West Medium Employer of the Year Award and I would like to congratulate them on their achievement. They deserve to be rewarded for their efforts. There has never been a better time to become an apprentice or employ one.”

Applications for the River Cottage Young Chef Apprenticeship Scheme are currently closed but will reopen in February. If you are interested in the scheme you can register your interest by clicking here.
