I’ve been working for River Cottage, off and on and across different roles, for 11 years.
What do you like about working for here?
It’s a really good bunch of people here. It’s like one big family and we work hard but have a laugh too. I’ve made lifelong friends here. Over the years I’ve had some unique opportunities through River Cottage – such as the chance to be involved with a TV show. I’ve done shifts at the River Cottage Cookery School and you always come away having learnt lots as you work, which could be anything from beekeeping to meat curing!
What’s your typical day like?
It’s very unpredictable – no two days the same. I like being on my feet and meeting new people. We welcome back lots of regular customers and also international guests on a special occasions, and it’s always nice to be involved and help people make their celebrations memorable.
