I've been working in the hospitality and customer service industry for almost 15 years in various roles, including restaurant management for Harrods and for the Waitrose Cookery School group running front of house operations and events over the three sites. In July 2017 I made the decision to join the River Cottage team. Having been a fan of the TV series since it's beginning, I couldn't wait to get my slice of the idyllic country lifestyle.
I love how varied the role is, no day on the farm is the same. I can be involved with cookery courses, feasts, weddings and private events all in one week. Throughout all of this we maintain true to our values and it's a pleasure to see guests enjoy their time on the farm, making memories that will last a lifetime. Being a real food lover it's a privilege to have incredible produce on our farm, but also from the amazing network of local suppliers that support us and our chefs do a brilliant job of making the most of out of these ingredients.
Every day I get more and more inspired by the team here; it's quite unique to be surrounded by people that not only love their jobs, but are passionate about making positive change and have fun along the way.
As the business evolves it's great to see opportunities created for staff, it's a place in which hard work pays off and you can have a successful career here.
I love working for River Cottage and hope to spend many more years here, seeing through some exciting changes.
