We want everyone to be able to enjoy our courses, dining and events. However, due to the nature of our site, some people may need extra support to be able to safely and comfortably access our facilities.

We are a working farm and there are rough surfaces and tracks across the site which may not be suitable for all wheelchair users or those with mobility requirements.

On site we have a toilet for disabled visitors. The toilet block and our other buildings are on one level. The surface between our buildings is gravelled but our staff are on hand to assist you over this surface should you require it.

There is a steep, uneven track that leads down to the main farm, from our car park. We do have an on-site vehicle that can be provided on request to assist those in need up and down the hill. Or, if you have a suitable vehicle, you are welcome to drive down to the event buildings, provided you are happy to do so at your own risk.

We are situated on a fast moving road without any pavements, with this in mind, we unfortunately cannot recommend people walk along Trinity Hill Road. If you have travelled to the area in a vehicle, we recommend making use of our spacious car-parking area.

We aim to make River Cottage as inclusive as we can so if you have any questions or concerns about the accessibility of our site, please don’t hesitate to contact the events team on 01297 630 300, Ext 1.

Unfortunately, as the farmhouse is a listed building with a steep staircase to the bedrooms, our accommodation is not accessible for wheelchair users.
