A Seasonal Feast and Whisky Tasting with Gill Meller and Nc’nean

Join Gill Meller and the Nc’nean team in our beautiful 18th century threshing barn for a fantastic four-course feast and whisky tasting to celebrate the launch of their collaborative limited edition whisky.

Co-hosted by chef and author Gill Meller, and founder of Nc’nean Annabel Thomas, your evening will begin with a wander down the hill, with stunning views of the valley, to the heart of our farm. You’ll be welcomed with a Nc’nean whisky cocktail and canapes to kick off your evening and will be given the chance to explore the kitchen gardens.

Next, an introduction to Nc’nean whilst settling into the feasting tables in the Threshing Barn. You’ll hear all about the small independent whisky distillery from founder Annabel, and about their wonderful new whisky, created in partnership with Gill Meller.

A menu of three delicious courses of seasonal, organic food to follow, designed by Gill and the River Cottage team, before a guided whisky tasting from the Nc’nean team, served alongside pudding and petit fours.

  • Arrive at River Cottage

    Wander through the pathways, (or get a lift in one of our Land Rovers) down into the valley to the heart of the farm

  • Welcome

    Enjoy a welcome whiskey cocktail and canapes as you get the evening started.

    You’ll have a chance to wander into the well-known Kitchen Garden and explore the site further if you wish.

  • The Main Event

    Settle into the Threshing Barn and take a seat at our long feasting tables.

    The Nc'nean team will introduce their exciting new product and explain the story of its creation.

    Your River Cottage chef will introduce the menu and talk you through our ethos, where your food has come from & how it’s been prepared.

    You’ll enjoy three-courses of the finest seasonal organic food.

  • Whisky Tasting

    Next you’ll be treated to a guided whisky tasting, before tucking into your dessert.

  • Departure

    If you still have room, there will be petit fours to sample before heading home.

    Our team will be on hand to chauffeur guests back to the carpark full of lovely food and whiskey.
