Our aim is to teach and inspire you to grow, source and cook food in ways that taste delicious, enhances your life, increases your wellbeing and connects you more closely to natural, sustainable and ethical sources of food. We hope to unite students across the planet who share our commitment to seasonality and sustainability!
Through this collection of 48 cookery lessons, Hugh and the team will teach you the essential skills and techniques required to become a highly proficient cook. Ther are also on hand in the online classroom to give you feedback and share in your learning journey. And if you chose to study all 11 courses you will receive a River Cottage Diploma, signed by Hugh.
As part of this diploma, we are giving you an immersive experience, taking you on a learning journey behind the scenes, and on location to many unseen corners of River Cottage. You will feel like you’ve been here in person, and we hope to inspire you in your own context or location, share our passion for organic and sustainable living, and to create wonderful, nutritious, and seasonal dishes, with your own special signature style.
“At River Cottage, we believe there are few things more important than education. And food! And so our aim is to teach and inspire you to grow, source and cook food in ways that enhance your life, increase your wellbeing and connect you more closely to the natural, sustainable and ethical sources of food. I believe that delicious, healthy food has never been more vital in helping us all to stay well during this global pandemic, and making those choices in a sustainable way makes the health of our planet a priority too. Educating students online globally via the www.learningwithexperts.com classrooms is a brilliant way to deliver this. It offers people the ability to learn in social groups providing togetherness and mutual support, as well as feedback from myself and the River Cottage team of tutors. It’s not just a great way to learn, it’s a great way to stay connected and foster a sense of shared endeavour in what could otherwise be a very isolating time in our lives.” Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall
