Hello & Welcome!
MAY is such an exciting time in the River Cottage calendar - we are seasonally spoilt. The fishing season has begun with some great catches, the narrow window of springtime foraging means it's time for Edible Seashore and our first Herbal Day next week. Simon and the team are busy in the garden with our garden courses. Take your pick and join us in our little corner of Devon...
Due to popular demand we have another Meat Curing & Smoking event on the weekend. The next date is Sunday 1 June 2008. Click the link above to find out more about this popular course.

One of our favourite contributors, Eleanor Gallia joined us for our Herbal Day on Tuesday. To find out more about the day, click here and to read all of our River Cottage blogs, including our Herbal Day blog, click here.

If you fancy a taste of life on the wild side, join John for a Wild Food Feast on Friday 16th May - a handful of tickets remain. Edible Seashore events are sold out this year, but you can click here to register your interest in next year's events.

From one of our Build and Bake guests...
"I had a fabulous day and would like to thank Steven and Dan for being such great hosts ... The food throughout the day was fantastic, and the attitude from all those involved in looking after us was welcoming and helpful.

The event exceeded my expectations ... it felt like we were spending the day sharing an approach to food/living that was real, and that the people involved cared passionately about. Great value for money, great day ... The only thing that I did find quite disappointing was that I don't live there, but this is a minor quibble and I'll get over it..."
