River Cottage Experience for Kids

from £245.00

Spend a day cooking with your kids on this fun day of hands-on cookery!

The course is for you and your child to learn and have fun together. Held in the school holidays, this is a great way to get children hands-on in the kitchen with the River Cottage chefs.

The kids will learn to make a selection of recipes along with a better understanding of where their food comes from, plus a little on how to keep safe with knives and hot things around.

They'll have fun learning to make dough and baking a farmhouse loaf as well as pizza dough which will be used to make their own pizza from scratch including the tomato sauce. Everyone will tuck in to enjoy their pizzas for lunch, grown ups included.

Those with a sweet tooth will enjoy the baking session and discover how seasonal veg can be delicious in cakes, creating beetroot brownies or something similar using whatever is in season in the garden.

The afternoon will focus on learning to make a family favourite. The recipe will change depending on what the best and freshest ingredients available on the day are, but you can look forward to a comforting classic like cottage pie or lasagne with homemade pasta.

At the end of the day, everyone can take their creations home to impress friends and family with your new found skills.
