River Cottage HQ is a unique rural venue – a place to escape, be inspired and embrace new experiences.

River Cottage has given millions of TV viewers a taste for great cooking since 1999, when Hugh first brought his famous food ethos to Channel 4. Our hard-hitting campaigns have helped to change the eating habits of a nation and improve the welfare and sustainability of animals and fish. We have also established an award-winning cookery school, communal dining experience, farmhouse accommodation and bespoke events.

Nestled in a beautiful valley on the Dorset/Devon border, River Cottage HQ, a 100-acre farm with 17th century farmhouse, 18th century threshing barn, cosy yurt and an abundant walled garden, is home to everything we do. We are within 10 minutes of a mainline train station which has direct links to London Waterloo, good road networks and the historic Jurassic coast. It is the perfect location to escape the work environment, discover new things and relax with colleagues, whether you are looking for a team building experience or a way to celebrate achievements.
