Anita will be speaking on the Garden Stage on both Saturday 24 & Sunday 25 August.

Anita and Hugh have been working together on a new series about plastics for BBC 1. They will be in conversation on the Garden Stage discussing her forthcoming projects.

Bradford born and bred, Anita Rani is one of the most recognisable faces on British TV.

An RTS Award winning presenter, she’s one of the lead presenters on BBC One’s Countryfile and is a regular part of The One Show team. Anita is also well known for her work on Channel 4’s Four Rooms. Having wowed the audience of Strictly Come Dancing 2015 (making the semi-finals) with her hard work and total fearlessness, Anita returned to the dance floor as host of the Strictly Live Tour in early 2017.

Anita’s projects have taken her all over the world. Her infectious enthusiasm and wide-ranging interests mean she is equally happy presenting live TV, or filming international documentaries. Always ensuring she gets the best out of her interviewees, whether it’s a farmer in Yorkshire, or a tribal leader in Papua New Guinea.

Anita most recently toured the UK presenting Blue Planet II Live in Concert and In March 2019, took part in a team challenge to climb Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief. The full story of the team’s triumphs and turmoil’s of ascending the 5,895-metre mountain was featured in a BBC One documentary and has so far raised £2.7 million in donations.
