Tom Kerridge

Tom will be joining us at the River Cottage Food Fair on Saturday 26 May.

Since opening The Hand and Flowers in 2005, Tom’s career path has progressed and grown with the support of his wife Beth and many members of key staff, allowing the business to grow and diversify. In 2011, The Hand and Flowers was the first pub to receive two stars in the Michelin Guide, an accolade that they still hold today and that as a team, they are all very proud of. Continued staff development led to the growth of the business, opening The Coach in 2014 that within its first year of trading received three AA Rosettes, a score of 5/10 in the Good Food Guide and voted third best pub in Britain by the Top 50 Gastropub Awards. Tom has also recently been awarded the coveted “Chef Award” at the 2017 Cateys.

In 2009 Tom first appeared on television competing in the Great British Menu for BBC Two, where he won the main course and cooked at the banquet for Prince Charles and Camilla. He competed again the following year and proceeded to win the main course for the second time, this time cooking for a banquet in Leadenhall Market in the City of London.

More television work followed, these projects include: Great British Food Revival, Tom Kerridge’s Proper Pub Food, Tom Kerridge’s Best Ever Dishes, hosting Saturday Kitchen, hosting Spring Kitchen, and also the front of BBC’s Food and Drink. More recently the chef on BBC Two’s Food Detectives, and the lead presenter of the first series of Bake Off: Crème de la Crème.

Tom is the author of four best-selling cookbooks, Proper Pub Food, Best Ever Dishes, Tom’s Table and Tom Kerridge’s Dopamine Diet which is a personal story of recipes that reflect Tom’s change and outlook to food having lost more than ten stone over the past three years.

Tom has also recently worked with Brand Events to launch a series of successful and innovative pop ups and festivals including The Pop Up Picture House, a festive cinema experience in Marlow where Tom created menus to match the movies shown and Pub in The Park, a festival hosted by Tom celebrating the very best food, drink and music.

Ongoing business projects include the launch of a cookware and product range sold through Fenwicks as well as online through the website .
