We love food here at River Cottage. If you do too then round up the family and join Hugh and the River Cottage team for our annual Food Fair where you can learn new culinary skills, meet the animals and immerse yourself in a weekend full of cooking, growing, relaxing and (most importantly) eating.

WHAT IS THE RIVER COTTAGE FOOD FAIR?

The River Cottage Food Fair is a two-day event at River Cottage HQ, with tickets available for Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 May. We have a fantastic chef line-up for 2018 and of course there’ll be loads of food to eat, food debates and tips to pick up, masterclasses to be involved in and a host of children’s activities.

HOW MUCH IS IT?

£12.50 and under 16's go for free

WHAT TIME DOES THE FOOD FAIR OPEN AND CLOSE ?

The Food Fair is on from 10am - 5pm on Saturday and Sunday

Once parked, ticket holders can go straight to the Welcome Tent. Children will be given their own wristbands with space to write their parents’ mobile numbers in case they get lost.

IS HUGH COMING?

Yes Hugh will be joining in the fun. He’ll be available for book signing and more activities. Check the LINE-UP page for the latest info.

WHEN AND WHERE IS THE FOOD FAIR?

Saturday 26th  and Sunday 27th May 2018 at River Cottage HQ, Trinity Hill Road, Axminster, EX13 8TB. But please don't rely on SatNav due to our rural location. Please note the Park and Ride field is 2 miles away along the same road.

HOW DO I GET THERE?

By Car: Please see GETTING HERE

By Rail: The closest railway station is Axminster which is 4.5 miles from River Cottage HQ. From London Waterloo it is approximately 2 hours 45 mins to Axminster with regular trains also running to and from Exeter.

Parking: There is  a FREE park and ride a couple of minutes from the Food Fair site, this is included in on fields nearby to the food fair site, your ticket includes a free park and ride ticket.

IS THERE OVERNIGHT CAMPING?

No. There are plenty of lovely hotels, B&B’s and other accommodation options nearby, but book early to avoid disappointment. You can find some of them here.

IS THE FOOD FAIR SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN?

Absolutely! The River Cottage Food Fair is a family event, there will be activities for children throughout the weekend. Plus all under 16s come for free!

CAN I EAT IN THE FARMHOUSE?

There will be a pop-up restaurant in the River Cottage Farmhouse. More details will be available on the day, it will be first come, first served.

CAN I BRING MY DOG?

Because River Cottage is a working farm, sadly we are not able to have dogs at the food fair to protect our livestock. Guide Dogs are an exception.

IS THE SITE ACCESSIBLE?

River Cottage HQ is a farm located at the bottom of a valley. Visitors will have a short walk down the hill from the top car park to the food fair site on uneven terrain. WIILL THERE BE FOOD FOR VEGETARIANS/VEGANS?

Of course!

ARE THERE CASH POINTS ON-SITE?

No, this is a small event with a back to basics feel but cash-back will be available. 

CAN I RETURN OR EXCHANGE MY TICKET?

If you contact us more than one week before the event then you can exchange your ticket to any other River Cottage event for a £25 admin charge. You can change the name of the attendees without a charge.

CAN I LEAVE TICKETS FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO COLLECT ON ARRIVAL?

As we are using e-tickets so you can forward them to all members of your group to print or show on their phones, so you will not need to leave tickets.

SECURITY & SAFETY

• Lost property will be held at the Information point which will be located in the Barn.

• All our water points are suitable for drinking. The water in the toilets is not drinking water.

THINGS YOU CAN’T DO

• Smoke inside any of the food fair tents. This is the law.

• Drugs – Definitely not!

• Bring alcohol on site.

• Make open fires or barbecues.
