The River Cottage Food Fair is taking place at River Cottage HQ (Park Farm) which is located far from the hustle and bustle of nearby towns and cities – meaning it’s vitally important to consider your means of transport before the event. A range of options are catered for, but note that some may be limited based on capacity.
Warning: Arriving at the River Cottage Food Fair site on foot is not advised due to safety concerns. Trinity Hill is not suitable for pedestrians. Please read the entire transport guide.
Park at our nearby Park and Ride car park
Park and Ride return tickets are included in your ticket price.
Once on Trinity Hill Road the Park and Ride car park will be clearly sign posted, please follow all event signage.
Please note we have managed to secure a field closer to the main site. This is now within walking distance (500m from the main entrance) so you will no longer need to catch a bus. Please note the signage you will need to follow still reads Park & Ride.

Park in VIP on-site car park
Driving to River Cottage Food Fair is convenient and straightforward. We have a limited amount of on-site VIP parking, these spaces will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Priced at £7.50 per car, tickets are available to purchase here. You will receive a parking e-ticket which will be a PDF attachment in the booking confirmation email. Please make sure this is clearly displayed on your windscreen upon arrival at the car park.

Those using the VIP on-site car park should be aware that they may be asked to wait for a short amount of time before exiting the car park onto Trinity Hill Road. This is so that a safe traffic management plan can be enacted. Please follow the directions of the stewards at all times.
Disabled parking
Disabled customer parking is free and on-site, please notify us on 01297 630300 if you require disabled parking. Purchasing a parking ticket is not necessary, please just make sure your blue badge is clearly visible.
Use a local taxi service
If you plan to use a local taxi service, early booking is essential. Please do not rely on booking taxis on the day of the event.
When entering the Food Fair site, taxis will be directed to a designated drop off and pick up area.

Car share
If you don’t drive, or have free spaces in your vehicle, posting on popular car sharing websites such as Bla Bla Car or Liftshare can help other Food Fair goers, as well as your bank balance!
Whether you are travelling from close by or further-a-field, guests are encouraged to use these platforms to make car travel economical.
Arrive by rail or scheduled bus
Scheduled rail and bus services from a variety of local and national departure points arrive in the nearby town of Axminster. Guests arriving by these modes are strongly advised to carry out their onward journey from Axminster to the River Cottage Food Fair by taxi or car share. Do not attempt to walk to the site, as Trinity Hill Road is not suitable for pedestrians.
Cycling
Cyclists are welcome at the event, and a small amount of cycle parking will be available onsite. Those choosing to arrive in this way should be aware of the road conditions in the area. Trinity Hill Road is a National Speed Limit route, is unlit, and features some blind corners. Cyclists are strongly advised to wear high-visibility clothing and use lights. Cycling during hours of darkness is dangerous on this road, and cyclists are advised to make their way home during daylight hours or seek alternative transport. Parking for bicycles is provided free of charge.
