Looking for a little magic this Christmas, why not choose to stay in our famous 17th century Farmhouse or our Gardener’s Cottage (or combine the two!). Enjoy a tranquil and relaxing festive season within our stunning organic farm, surrounded by the rolling Axe Valley hills. Be treated to our festive welcome hamper and keep cosy in front of a roaring fire and the twinkle of the Christmas tree lights.

We are offering our iconic 17th century Farmhouse and Gardener’s Cottage for an exclusive stay over the Christmas period. Embrace a rare opportunity to celebrate the festive period at River Cottage HQ, our 100-acre organic farm set in the beautiful Axe Valley.

The Farmhouse comprises of three spacious bedrooms, sleeping a maximum of 6 guests - a luxurious master room with en-suite, and a stylish twin and double bedroom with a shared bathroom. You will have exclusive use of the entire house including the cosy sitting room with double aspect views, enabling you to admire the Farmhouse's enviable setting. The sitting room also contains a log burner for you to warm yourself by after a bracing walk. Across the passageway, there is a well-equipped kitchen that looks out over the walled kitchen garden.

The Gardener’s Cottage has two stylish bedrooms and a shower room, sleeping a maximum of 4 guests. This cosy, self-contained space is ideal for small families or friends looking for a peaceful retreat to the country for the festive break. The twin bedroom has picturesque views over the courtyard and into the breath-taking Axe Valley, whilst the kitchen, lounge and master bedroom all look out onto the beloved River Cottage walled garden.

The usually busy cookery school and events barn will be closed to the public for this period, so guests can enjoy a private and uninterrupted festive stay at River Cottage HQ.

Both properties are available to book individually or - If you are a larger party – why not book them both together and enjoy a rare opportunity to have the whole place to yourselves!

Farmhouse available for £640 per night, minimum 3-night stay

Gardener’s Cottage available for £350 per night, minimum 3-night stay

A festive breakfast hamper will be provided for each house - any other food and beverages will need to be pre-ordered or supplied by individuals themselves.

Please ask about our special larder boxes when booking.

For an additional fee we can provide you delicious food and drink, including a Christmas feast box ready for you to cook and enjoy at your leisure.
