Double win for River Cottage Cookery School

We're very proud to say that River Cottage’s Cookery School has been recognised for its excellence with two awards this month.

River Cottage scoops double award win River Cottage’s Cookery School has been recognised for its excellence with two significant awards in the last week. Winning ‘Best Cookery School’ and ‘Cookery School of the Year’ has made this west country foodie destination the cream of the crop, beating off some formidable competition to come out on top.

These two prestigious accolades deliver a fantastic boost for the region, helping to grow the 20,000 plus tourists who already visit River Cottage HQ each year. They also help confirm the west country’s place as Britain’s culinary Mecca.

The first win was Best Cookery School in the Great British Food Awards. This year over 11,000 Great British Food Magazine readers voted for their foodie favourites, and River Cottage scooped this deserved win thanks to the ‘eclectic and exciting courses taught by experts in beautiful surroundings’.

Next up was Cookery School of the Year at the sixth annual Food and Travel Reader Awards. Food and Travel Magazine whittled down a host of nominations from readers, who voted for their favourites from the shortlist. The glamorous black-tie ceremony, held at The Royal Automobile Club on London’s Pall Mall was attended by leading lights of the food, drink and travel industries.
